Hampton's First Bath

Hampton's umbilical cord fell off, so David and I gave Hampton his first bath.  Hampton cried during his bath, but he was a happy camper afterwards.

Hampton is 2 Weeks Old!

Hampton turned 2 weeks today!  It is so hard to believe that he is 2 weeks old already.  I took him to the hospital for a weigh in, in order to verify that he is getting plenty to eat.  He weighed 8 pounds 2 ounces!!!  I was shocked because he was born at 7 pounds 4 ounces, and he was down to 6 pounds 13 ounces when we left the hospital.

GJ left today after our weigh in at the hospital, so Hampton and I decided to pick Coleman up from lunch bunch at school.  We then met Riley and Bradley at the bus stop.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day was a lot of fun.  GJ and I picked up Coleman from lunch bunch at school, and then we visited Target.  Target was Hampton's very first outing, and Coleman did a great job showing him around the store!

Coleman and Hampton...Sweet Brothers

Coleman has loved being a big brother.  It is amazing that Coleman can bounce the basketball and run through the house, and Hampton just sleeps right through it!  Hampton also loves when Coleman talks to him.  He just stares at Coleman in amazement.  I think this little guys are going to be great friends!

Hampton's First Sponge Bath

A few days ago, we gave Hampton his first sponge bath.  He really did well considering he was probably really chilly during the bath.  After the bath, I put lotion on him, and he really liked that.  I am ready for all of the peeling skin to be gone!

Hampton's New Home

I finished Hampton's nursery at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 3, which was the day before he was born.  I was so glad to have this completed.  The them was frogs and other whimsical animals.  The colors are blue and lime green.  I really had a great time putting his sweet room together.  Of course he is sleeping in a cradle next to my bed, when I finally lay him down, which is very rare.  I just enjoy holding him all day long.  He is such a sweet addition to our family.

Welcome Hampton Joseph Fryer

On Friday, February 4, at approximately 6:15 a.m. David and I arrived at Palmetto Health Baptist Hospital, so that I could be induced for labor.  This was actually two days before my due date, but my doctor was on call, so we were thankful to be able to have him to deliver our little bundle of joy.

Hampton arrived at 5:31 p.m., and he weighed 7 lbs, 4 ozs. and was 20 inches long. Coleman is so excited to be a big brother! I is doing fine, and she is so in love with the new family member. I am having trouble putting him down. He is such a sweet baby!!!
