PJ's with Santa

We attended the annual Junior League of Columbia's PJ's with Santa and met Conner and Andrew there.  The boys had fun playing and eating.  The boys spent a lot of their time out at the Little Gym play area while the moms shopped for Christmas gifts, which was so nice!  We ended our night by Coleman graciously sitting on Santa's lap and requesting a tuba and a football helmet.

All Aboard!

We drove to Bryson City, North Carolina to take Coleman to the Polar Express.  This was our second year attending this fun event.  We boarded the 5:00 p.m., and the conductor punched our tickets.  The train then departed toward the North Pole as we drank hot chocolate, ate muffins and cookies and listened to music from the movie.  We then were read the story of The Polar Express.  As the story ended we arrived to a lit up area with elves throwing packages and Santa sitting on a chair.  It was the North Pole!  The next thing we knew, Santa entered our train car with an elf and a bell for each child.  We then sang Christmas carols on our way back to the station.  Coleman was asked by the crew if he would like to stand up front to sing his favorite song.  Of course his request was the "ABC's".  Everyone sang the "ABC's to his lead.  Before we arrived back to the station, Santa paid us another visit, and we were given a photo opportunity.  Finally we arrived back at the station and headed down the street to eat dinner.  We all had a wonderful time!

The End of the Season Soccer Party

We celebrated the end of the soccer season at the Hawn's house.  The boys played in a bounce house while there.  After the boys bounced around, they were presented with their soccer trophys.  We then ate hotdogs.  What a wonderful soccer season!

Coleman was in admiration of his trophy!

Happy Birthday Callahan

We celebrated many birthdays this Fall that did not make the blog, and I apologize! In the beginning of November we celebrated Callahan's 5th birthday. It was at his house and he had a dinosaur dig, a marshmellow roast and several other cool dinosaur things. Thanks for including us Callahan!

Coleman's First Day of School

Coleman's first day of school was August 30 at McGregor Presbyterian. This year, Coleman will be in the 3 day 3's class and the 2 day 2 1/2 year old class. We are so excited because he teachers will be Miss Kellie and Miss Suzanne. The first day of school was much harder for mommy than it was for Coleman. There were no tears!

Halloween at School

On the Friday before Halloween, parents were able to volunteer to help with games and to watch the cool parade that the kids were in while wearing their costumes.  I had so much fun hanging out with the kids and parents in Coleman's class.  After school was over, we met Skylar and her mom at McAlisters for lunch.  What a fun day!

Halloween

We began our Halloween night by going to a party in the Estates at one of Coleman's preschool friend's houses.  We had a blast and he had a blast too!  We then came back to our house, and David's parents stopped by to see Coleman's costume.  After they left, Coleman I went trick or treating while David manned the door at our house.  After a few minutes of trick or treating, we met up with Jack, Will and Madison.  Coleman had a blast walking from house to house with them!

A Day at Country Adventures

I have been so behind on my blogging these days, but I thought a good place to start would be our visit to Country Adventures in Blythewood. We joined several other moms and their children.

We started our visit by going to the petting zoo. The children were able to brush the donkey, pet the bunny rabbit and to pet various other animals. We then took a hayride to the pumpkin patch, in which the children were able to pick a pumpkin to take home with them. We then continued on our hayride to the eating area. We ate hotdogs, and the children were able to roast marshmellows.

We had a wonderful time hanging out with our friends and visiting such a fun place before Halloween!

In Freeport, we did the encounter with dolphins. Coleman received a kiss from one of the dolphins.

Coleman's Swimming Finale

Last week Coleman took lessons with Miss Valerie, who is with Swim Like a Fish, for 30 minutes a day. Coleman had never taken swimming lessons before, so we chose to do private lessons. The first day was a challenge because he cried evertime he went under water. After the first day, the water was like second nature for Coleman...he loved it.

Seabrook's 3rd birthday was at Build a Bear at the mall. We started the party by building a bear. The children had a blast together since most of them were in the same class. After we left Build a Bear, we ate cake in the courtyard. Then we went to the Food Court to ride the carousel. What a fun party! Thanks for inviting us!

Coleman had a blast at Charles' construction themed birthday party. He especially enjoyed playing in the sandbox! Thanks for inviting us to your party Charles! We had fun!

Preschool Sunday

McGregor had Preschool Sunday for all of the preschool children. The children sang for all of the parents, and we were able to enjoy a slideshow of all of the children. After the church services, we enjoyed refreshments with all of Coleman's friends. Coleman enjoyed playing with Sklar in then tent and with the hoola hoops!

Touch a Truck

We attended the first ever Junior League Touch a Truck. As soon as we arrived we rode the Shriner's train. Coleman loved this! We then went to the jump castle, and Coleman was a little intimidated to be in there with all of the older kids. Finally we made our way to the garbage truck and various other pieces of equipment. Coleman really liked the articulated dump truck. I just hated that it was a Caterpillar!

Disney on Ice

Miranda and I took Coleman and Breelan to Disney on Ice on the opening night. Coleman and Breelan always have a blast together, and this night was no exception! Coleman kept asking, "wheres Mickey?"

Conner met us at Saint Andrews for the big hunt! We started the morning by doing a few crafts and eating breakfast. After breakfast, we went by groups to the different areas (based on age) to hunt Easter eggs.
