Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was quite different this year. I have not gotten out of bed this early in years! We were up at 6:45 a.m. opening gifts. Santa brought Coleman a Baby V-Smile as well as a ton of other toys. He also brought him two corduroy monogrammed longalls. Coleman was very excited!

Christmas With the Davis Family

We celebrated Christmas with the Davis family by eating dinner and exchanging gifts. Coleman racked up on cute outfits, and David and I also received some great gifts! It was so good to see everyone!

Lunch with the Girls

Coleman and I had lunch at Olive Garden with Tara, Becky and Emily. Emily and Coleman slept the whole time, but both of them woke up just in time to eat (after we were finished eating, of course.) Emily was born one day before Coleman!

Riverbanks Lights at the Zoo

We went to the Riverbanks Lights at the Zoo with Carter, Courtney and Conner. The boys had a great time looking at the lights, the animals and the 3-D video from the Polar Express. The boys ended the night by having a visit with Santa Claus. Coleman slept through this visit with Santa, but Conner was wide awake!!!

We visited with the goats!

Coleman and Conner enjoyed their visit with Santa!

Happy 1st Birthday Evan!!!

Coleman, David and I attended Evans 1 year birthday today. Evan's cake was the cutest teddy bear, and he was hesitant about putting his hands in it at first. After some help from mommy and daddy, he loved the cake! Evan then opened his gifts.

Evan anxiously awaits for his cake...

Coleman wakes up just in time to watch Evan eat his cake

Coleman's First Playdate

Coleman and I drove to Easley to visit Ava, Carter and Mandy. Coleman, Ava and Carter had a good time looking into the mirror together. Coleman and I were both entertained by all of the cool toys! We cannot wait to go visit them again soon!!!

Coleman Adair Fryer Has Arrived!!!

David and I arrived at Palmetto Baptist at 5:45 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, for the birth of Coleman. Dr. Hutchinson broke my water at 9:30 a.m., and Coleman arrived at 5:33 p.m.

This was the first time that I met my little angel. This was one of the happiest moments in my life.

After David held our sweet boy, he followed him to the nursery. Coleman weighed 7 pound and 7 ounces, and he was 20.5 inches long.

Since we were in the hospital on Halloween, we decided that Coleman should wear an outfit to celebrate this fun holiday.

Coleman's going home outfit was a bubble with smocked sheep. His proud daddy smiles for the camera!

David helped Coleman and me in the car, so that we could make our way home.

We are so glad to have our little one home!!!

39 Weeks and Counting...

David and I went to the doctor yesterday. I am currently 2 centimeters, 80% effaced, and +2 station. We have scheduled an induction date, which may change (so I am not publishing it yet). It is within a couple of days of the due date. Keep your fingers crossed from him to arrive a little sooner!

Coleman's Nursery

David and I decided to decorate Coleman's nursery in a Buckaroo Theme. We wanted to do a nursery a little different than the norm, and we were pleased with the results. We are still adding accessories, but we are pretty much done with the big things.

This is Coleman's crib. The mobile is the Buckaroo mobile, and plays the tune "Home on the Range". The bedskirt is baby blue with a rodeo theme.

This is the top of Coleman's changing table. The stuffed animal is Skipper the Cowboy. The bucket contains supplies for changing our little one.

This is a bucket for Coleman's diapers. It sits next to the changing table. The little horse within is a washcloth.

Couples Shower

Some of David's friends threw us a wonderful Couples Shower on Friday night. This is our final shower before Coleman's debut. Thanks Ellen and Hinton, Ellie and Tripp, Susan and Corley, and Teresa and Keith for such wonderful food and such a wonderful time! You guys are great!!!

36 Weeks...

I went to the doctor, and he told me that I was 1 centimeter dilated, 70% effaced, and at 0 station. Unfortunately this gives no indication of when Coleman will arrive!

Office Surprise Shower and Luncheon

The girls at the office were sneaky and threw me a surprise shower! I was supposed to have Pizza Hut buffet with a group of girls, and instead they guided me into the training room. Boy was I surprised! I had a wonderful time eating lunch, sharing laughs, and opening wonderful baby gifts with all of these girls. I am lucky to work with such a great group of people! I did not get any pictures because I did not even have my camera. Thanks girls for such a wonderful luncheon and shower!!!

Amy's Bachelorette Party

Coleman attended his first (and hopefully only) bachelorette party at Liberty's in the Vista. We had a wonderful time hanging out with Amy and eating a wonderful meal. We went home as soon as everyone decided to leave to continue on to the next stop. Congratulations Amy, and we cannot wait to celebrate your big day with you and Jon next weekend!

Dinner at Bonefish with the Gang

We went to Bonefish Grill to celebrate Coleman's arrival with several other couples. They were very sweet to get us a ton of clothes that will be a great help in dressing our little one! Thanks Anna and Matt, Pete and Barbra, Louise and John, and Kim and Brian for a wonderful night of food, friendship, and celebration!

This is a cute jon jon with a smocked cowboy (just like in Coleman's nursery)

Sunday School Class Shower

Kelli, Hilary, and Betsy organized a wonderful shower for me which included all of the girls from our Sunday School Class. The shower was at Kelli's house. I had a lot of fun spending time with everyone, and I am excited about the new gifts for Coleman! Thanks girls for such a great time!

Our Bellies

Mandy and I decided to take a belly shot in order to celebrate the upcoming births of Coleman, Ava, and Carter. Mandy is actually due December 7, but because she is having twins, she will probably have the babies around the same time as Coleman is born.

DiPrato's Shower

On Saturday, Coleman had his second shower. I had the best time seeing so many of my friends that live out of town, and being surrounded by such a wonderful group of friends from Columbia. We had pimento cheese dip for an appetizer, and our choice of salad for the meal. The food was delicious! Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the petit fours...I am still eating these. I am hoping they are fat free! :)

Thank you so much Aimee, Holly, Kendal, Kimber, Mandy, and Temple for throwing me such a nice shower! I forgot to take a hostess picture, but I did get a picture of some of you back at my house.

Coleman's First Shower

Wilma Grindstaff and Lois MacNaughton, two good friends of Sara's (David's mom), threw us the traditional neighborhood baby shower. This is something that the ladies of the the neighborhood always do for the kids who grew up in the neighborhood. The ladies were very generous with their gifts. I really enjoyed getting to chat and hang out with this group. They were really a lot of fun! The first picture below is of Mrs. Grindstaff, Mrs. MacNaughton, and me.

The Furniture

David and I put together our crib a few weekends ago. It was a lot of fun working on this project together, and it was not nearly as bad as the horror stories that I had heard from other couples. Thank goodness the dresser/changing table required no assembly. Our main focus at this point is to accessorize the nursery.

His Name Will Be...

We finally have decided on a name for our little one. His name will be Coleman Adair. Coleman is David's mom's maiden name and my grandmother's maiden name. Adair is a family last name on my side of the family. My brother, great uncle, and cousin have Adair as a middle name. We had no problem deciding on Coleman...our hardest decision was the middle name!

25 Week Ultrasound

David and I went to the doctor for our 25 week visit yesterday. We are a week off on our visits because of our vacation. We were the last ultrasound of the day, so the ultrasound technician showed us a 3-D of the baby. The angle of the ultrasound makes his nose and lips appear "smashed." We will have another ultrasound before the birth because there is a little fluid in his kidneys, which is pretty normal for little boys. We are getting spoiled with all of these ultrasounds!

Happy 70th Birthday Stan!!!

David's dad, Stan, turned 70 yesterday! Last night we joined David's parents and David's brother's family for homemade pizza and homemade cake. Everything was delicious!

My Birthday

After my prenatal massage, my mom met me at my house, so that we could go downtown to meet with Trenholm. We decided on a paint color, and we chose the nursery theme. The nursery will be the Wild West. I am sure this theme will be very fitting for our little boy. It will be something that he can grow into. We then ate lunch at the Mediterranean Tea Room, and we visited a cute shop on Devine Street that had a ton of things for the little one. Our final destination was Baby Furniture Plus, and then we returned to my house.

That night, we invited a few people over for hamburgers to finish the birthday celebration. The kids had a blast helping me blow out the birthday candles. I think we blew them out 3 or 4 times!!!

We Finally Ordered Furniture!

After a trip to Charlotte, David and I found a furniture group that met our standards from a price and a style prospective. We were very interested in doing the traditional crib rather than the "grow with me crib". I fell in love with a group at Bellini, but David quickly made me realize that it was too expensive. We decided to go with the Stanley (Young America) collection that we found at USA Baby. We were able to order this group from Baby Furniture Plus in Northeast Columbia, and Baby Furniture Plus was able to price match. We saved $310!!! I have attached a picture in order for you to get an idea of what it looks like.
